What decides the price

SizeSquare feet of decking, linear feet of fence, and the railing, spindles and stairs that take hand-brushing time.
ConditionA gray, bare deck is a clean-and-stain. A peeling solid stain is a strip-sand-stain and costs more.
Stain typeSolid stains and two-coat systems take longer than a single-coat penetrating oil.
AccessSecond-story decks, decks over patios, and fences on a neighbor's side add protection and setup.
RepairsBoard replacement and re-fastening are quoted separately so you can see the numbers.

Why we do not post a flat price per square foot

Because it would be wrong half the time. A 300-square-foot deck that is bare and gray is a clean-and-stain. The same deck with three coats of peeling solid stain is a two-day strip and sand before a drop of stain goes on. A fence quote depends on height, style and whether both sides are done. A number without seeing the wood is a guess, and we would rather send you a real one.

How to get a quote

  1. Text a few photos of the deck or fence to (224) 944-8652: one wide shot, one close-up of the surface, one of the railing or fence posts.
  2. Add your town and a rough size (a deck is easy to pace off; a fence is linear feet and height).
  3. Tell us what is on it now if you know: stained, sealed, painted, never done.
  4. We text back a number and a date, usually the same day. Bigger restoration jobs get an in-person look.

Every quote itemizes cleaning, repairs and staining so you can see what you are paying for and drop what you do not want.
